Professor Ben Miranda, Consultant Plastic Surgeon

Professor Ben Miranda is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon and Hand Surgeon with over 15 years of experience. He studied medicine at University College London, while also completing a BSc. Professor Miranda undertook his Plastic Surgery PhD, supervised by Professor David Sharpe OBE. He ranked first place in the Plastic Surgery national recruitment process and was subsequently awarded a training programme in London. Professor Miranda completed his specialist Plastic Surgery training at several prestigious university-associated teaching hospitals in London.

After being awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery, Professor Miranda undertook further specialist training in Cosmetic Surgery and Hand Surgery. He completed two Aesthetic fellowships at leading international Cosmetic Surgery institutions in London, and two prestigious Hand Surgery fellowships in London and Derby. Professor Miranda has also gained further experience abroad in Australia, Europe, and the UK.

Professor Ben Miranda Beyond Cadogan Clinic

Beyond his private practice, Professor Miranda holds an NHS Consultant Surgeon position at the internationally renowned St Andrew's Centre for Plastic Surgery & Burns in Essex, where he regularly performs complex plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery.

Professor Miranda is also a Medicolegal Expert Witness. His interest in Medicolegal expert witness surgery cases developed in 2005 after he first represented a large body of doctors in court from a central London NHS Foundation Trust. Professor Miranda produces expert witness reports for claimants, defendant NHS Trusts, insurance companies and solicitors.

His wide-ranging medical experience places Professor Miranda in a position to evaluate the highest quality medical evidence and advances in treatment, offering the best possible care, tailored to the unique requirements of every patient that he treats.
