Fat transfer procedures (or fat grafting) use Liposuction to remove stubborn, excess fat from unwanted areas, before it is treated and reinjected into a different area. This gives them some of the more natural-looking results of cosmetic surgeries. Fat transfer is typically performed to both remove fat from areas where it is not wanted, but also to add volume and shape to areas which have been affected by ageing, dramatic weight loss or pregnancy and breastfeeding. These factors can all cause loss of volume, or sagging, making patients self-conscious, as well as making tight clothes or sportswear uncomfortable to wear.
